For Receiving Calves: Arrive Alive provides the rehydration, nutrition, electrolyte replacement and energy that young calves need for a good start.

Prior To Shipping Calves: Arrive Alive creates a "reservoir" of fluid, nutrients and energy which calves can draw upon to reduce tissue shrinkage.

In Hot Weather: Arrive Alive provides vital fluid for respiration and transpiration to keep pace with body cooling. Water intake dramatically increases when temperatures rise above 75 degrees F. Feed 2-3 gallons of Arrive Alive per day between feedings

During periods of scours due to bacteria or virus, feed NRV’s Gen-III Lyte™ Electrolyte.

Feeding Directions

For Calves on Arrival - Feed 1-2 gallons (8-16 lb) of electrolyte solution per calf on arrival and once daily for first week in barn.

For Pre-Shipping - Add Arrive Alive powder directly to the milk replacer at the rate of 7 ounces/calf/feeding for each of the last 6-12 hours prior to shipping. OR, Feed 1 - 2 gallons (8-16 lb) per calf one to four hours before loading for shipment.

For Hot Weather - Feed 1-2 gallons (8-16 lb) of cool solutions (50-65 degrees F) 2 - 3 times daily to help keep calves hydrated.

Continue feeding milk or milk replacer when using this product. Arrive Alive contains no sodium bicarbonate and won't interfere with milk or milk replacer digestion.

Transport causes weight loss in cattle. During shipping research, calves given 2 quarts of electrolyte solution lost only 7.5% of their body weight versus 9.4% for untreated control calves.

Quality attributes known to be degraded by transportation and handling stress include meat pH, color, texture, moisture retention, tough-ness and palatability.

Transportation and handling are reported to be among the most potent stressors for cattle, evoking increases in Cortisol (the "Stress Hormone") plus release of other stress hormones and alternation of numerous blood cell components. These autonomic responses are, in part, responsible for reduction in animal well-being and meat quality attributes.

For baby calves, the trauma of shipping can have life threatening and lifelong effects.

Remember, a baby's calf's body is made up of over 75% water and all calves must consume approx-imately 10% of their body weight in fluid each day. During the first week after arrival, feeding schedules may not supply enough needed water, especially due to shipping upset and small gut capacity.

INGREDIENTS: Dextrose, Glycine, Monopotassium Phosphate, Potassium Citrate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Phosphate, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enteroccuccus faecium, Ascorbic Acid, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Biotin.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE: NRV’s Arrive Alive is a complementary feed for the stabilization of water and electrolyte balance during times of stress. Contains lactic acid bacteria for faster recolonization of normal flora.

IDEAL FOR TRANSPORTED ANIMALS: Feed calves two quarts water and one scoop (76 g) Arrive Alive™ after arrival and for the next two feedings. Prior to shipping, add 1/2 scoop (38 g) Arrive Alive™ to milk replacer for last 2 full meals. Mix 8 oz milk replacer plus 1 scoop (76 g) Arrive Alive™ into 8 lb total solution for last feeding 3-4 hours prior to shipping.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS FOR DIGESTIVE DISTURBANCE: Empty the contents of one scoop (76 g) Arrive Alive™ into 2 quarts of clean lukewarm water and administer orally.

CALVES: Day 1: 2 quarts of solution morning, midday and evening.

Day 2: 2 quarts of solution morning, midday. Milk feed in evening.

Day 3: 2 quarts of solution morning. Milk feed midday and evening.

Day 4: Return to normal feeding.

LAMBS: Offer fresh solution ad lib allowing 1 to 2 pints per lamb per day.

PIGLETS: Offer fresh solution ad lib allowing 200 to 300 ml per piglet

per day.

FOALS: Feed 20 to 30 ml per kg bodyweight followed by ordinary

drinking water.

CONTRA INDICATIONS: Arrive Alive should not be used for more than 3 days as a sole feed replacement.

PRECAUTIONS: Seek advise of a veterinarian before use. Store in a cool dry place. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Use within 12 months of purchase.
