We are ready, willing, and able to expand beyond our current success in the veal milk replacer market. NRV has an exciting opportunity for a high energy, ambitious, sales and marketing professional. The successful candidate will broaden our customer base beyond our well established veal market, identify new opportunities, and be an effective deal closer. This position requires an expert level of one on one selling skills, and the ability to develop, train, and motivate a national team of professional sales representatives. NRV is part of a well-capitalized, vertically integrated network of feed to food companies, yet maintains a friendly, family-like work environment.As a Sales Manager, you will:
Identify opportunities, strategies, tactics, and develop plans to achieve sales success
- Personally oversee key accounts and smaller accounts until sales reps in place
- Locate, hire, and coach sales team members who, like yourself, can build relationships
- Work with customers to identify private label or custom products opportunities
- Provide communications to customers, sales representatives, and NRV Management
- Be a self-starter with conceptual and analytical skills
- Help create and implement promotions, advertising and support materials
Required:
- 5+ years of sales management experienced in dairy or agriculture industry
- Solid understanding of dairy nutrition and economics
- Strong persuasive and technical skills
- Proven track record of success
- Integrity
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
- A passion for people, farming, and selling
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree—agricultural related
- Extensive direct dairy sales experience
